Beginner Violin

6th Grade

In 6th grade, we learned the parts of a violin, and played... extremely basic songs. Back then, the music I can play now with ease would seem impossible!

Symphonic Orchestra

7th Grade

Symphonic Orchestra was the first time I had to audition to get in, and that made me extremely nervous. Despite that, I had a great year, going on middle school field trips for the first time and massively improving my skill level. We played at all of our field trips, and scored either a 1 or 2 for everything! (1 being superior, 2 is excellent)

Chamber Orchestra

8th Grade

Chamber Orchestra! The most advanced orchestra at Pike, and still just as nerve-racking to audition for. I can't say exactly what we'll do, since I'm still in 8th grade, but I can't wait!
