Robotics. My favorite elective of Middle School! I took robotics in 7th grade, and here are some of the projects we built, coded, and learnt from:

Project: "Grandma's Chair"

For the Grandma's chair project, we needed to build a "chair" that could successfully transport a person up stairs. This is our version! It used 3 limit switches and a bumper switch as input, and a motor and 2 LEDs for the output.

Project: "Package Robot"

Our package robot is a motorized robotic arm with a x/y and z axis. This allows us to pick up a "package" and transport it to a different surface. It uses 2 limit switches, a bumper switch, and 2 motors.

Project: Vex Clawbot

We built the Vex V4 Clawbot and had a drawing competition, to demonstrate who had the best driving skill. It's harder than you would think!

Project: Assembly Line

This is one of the last projects of the year we did, and we certainly used the experience from earlier projects. We used 3 motors, a bumper switch, a distance sensor, and even some custom 3d-printed parts! (Look for the orange)
